Rainy Days

We've had rain and thunderstorms rolling through over the past few days, cooling things off and making me want to sleep in or nap during the day. Before kids, rainy days on weekends were the perfect excuse for a little fun under the covers. Ah, there's nothing like cuddling next to the one you love and listening to the rain hit the roof.

What do you like to do on rainy days?

I enjoy my #1 favorite pastime: Reading...never too far from a good book!!

I like to read or watch movies on a rainy day.

I definitely agree with the pre-kids statement, that was always so much fun. I love being in bed and hearing the rain on the roof.

Now, I relish the quiet time - a good book, a glass of wine or coffee (depending on what time of day), curled up on the sofa is just about perfect - in the winter a crackling fire definitely completes the mood.

Usually though you'll find me at my laptop either working or writing no matter what the weather is! :-)

Rainy days are a wonderful time to slip under the covers with the one you love. Reading together is nice, and sleeping in, curled up in each other's arms is just the thing.

Rainy or sunny, I'm usually where I am right now -- at my computer!

I love doing nothing on rainy days!! Taking a nap, reading a book, watching a movie, board games with my son. Not having to leave the house or really having to do anything is what I like.

A book in bed to equal sweet nap dreams.

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I like to bake on rainy days. :-) I just love rainy, overcast days, they're my favorite.

Working from home is much easier on rainy days. I'll get so much more done then on a gorgeous day like today. My breaks are less numerous in both frequency and time, and I do much less staring out the window daydreaming.

Well, I certainly can't work on my computer when it rains. I've had my computer crash just as the thunder was approaching and I was in the process of shutting down.

I do love to cuddle on the porch with my hubby and share a bottle of wine.

Stay in bed listening to the rain on the windows and reading a book. Oh, and if Hubby wants to join me for a little cuddle I'm up for that too.

I laze around on rainy days, read, listen to music, or watch a movie.

I love rainy days--at least here in Florida where we don't get all-day rain very often, and we do get the world's best afternoon thunderstorms...LOML knows how I feel about them, and sometimes when he's out of town (or just at work himself) I'll get a phone call or email "it's raining and I was thinking about you".....

Don't tell him, but the BEST way to spend a rainy afternoon? Mozart, glass of wine, novel.

Tessa, reminds me of that song by Garth Brooks, Somewhere Other Than The Night. Love that song.
