Not just erotica, One Dependable Man is a great start to a promising romance series. Rita Thedford reveals well-developed and personal characters, setting a new bar for paperback romance scenes. Sizzling hot, Thedford delivers! The western setting was not only tangible, but also hometown cowboy values captures the mid-west. Her tight story line made the characters jump off the page. I am gleefully anticipating the forthcoming books in The McBrides of Texas series. A definite must-have for your erotica and cowboy collection!

Welcome to the week where the editors of the Scarlet Rose are in the Hot Seat. We've asked them for their pet peeves, favorite plot themes, and lots of other questions. We've put together some lists.

To start the week, we wondered where the best places to do it are. Here are a few of our favorites, tell us some of yours. Where is your ideal location?

I love reading about outdoor 'adventures.' The thought that someone might catch them, plus the fresh air and sunshine (or shade, or moonlight.) It's incredibly romantic

Or is there somewhere more dangerous you'd risk getting caught for the delicious thrill of an orgasm?

Who is Anita Philmar?

As a new writer, I thought I would introduce myself, but although this is a good question. There is no easy answer.

We are all unique in our own way. Yet, when you start telling others about who you are or what you're like, the descriptions all begin to sound the same.

I don't want to be the same. Wild and Crazy, meak and shy, at times we all have these characteristics, some of us more than others.

I'm a normal person with a husband, two kids, and two dogs. I love people and enjoy meeting new friends as well as old friends. I spend most of my time alone, because I chose to be a writer.

For some this would be the kiss of death, for me it's a joy because I can visit new worlds and go to exotic places. No rules, except the ones I create. Bad characters that my characters can slay. Situations that I control. Oh, but its great to be all powerful.

Naughty? Nice?

Some say I take it to far, others say not far enough.

No matter the opinion, I enjoy what I do. I like to take my readers on a journey through a fantasy world which stretches the imagination.

Hopefully, they have a little fun, get a little hot and have a great read.

Can't ask for more than that.
