Happy Birthday to the Wild Rose Press

More
I love dwelling in the wilder side of the garden and have to say that I adore everyone I have had the pleasure of connecting with—editors, artists, authors, and readers. A special salute to my editor, Diana, who is lovely even when she is kicking my butt into shape. So congratulations to you all, and thank you for allowing me to hang with you on occasion.

Be sure to read below about how you can join in the birthday fun.

Here is a tiny taste of my newest from TWRPSweet Restraint (a sequel to Sweet Temptation).
Excerpt:
Why was he there? How had he found her home address? What the hell had she done? Fighting the urge to step into his sexy embrace, she slipped around him and hurried to the nice, safe kitchen where she could at least keep the table between them.
“Would you like some tea or maybe a beer? I think I have a couple. I’m not much of a beer drinker, but I keep some on hand just in case. You know for when friends stop by. Kate likes a beer now and then. Maybe it’s old. Does beer get old? I think I have some wine, too. Guys don’t like wine though, do they? Not guys like you, anyway. I don’t have whiskey or anything, but I have juice.” She laughed at the stupidity of the last offer. “Yeah, I don’t suppose apple juice does it for you either. I could—”
Savannah.” Long fingers closed over her hand when she tugged on the refrigerator door and gently pushed it closed again. “You’re rambling.”
She backed into the counter as he stepped closer. Her knees buckled. Was her throat swelling shut? Good God, how could one person smell so damned amazing?
He circled her waist with his hands and boosted her to sit on the counter, stepping between her thighs. The room dipped and swirled a moment as the man overwhelmed her. A shiver of desire raced up her spine. Leaning even closer, he kissed his way from the slight V of her work shirt to the pulse that raced in her veins. “Did you miss me, beauty?”

Happy Birthday, Wild Rose Press!

It's a very special birthday today for The Wild Rose Press! I'll always be grateful to Rhonda and everyone at TWRP for helping me attain my dream of becoming a published author. When I got "the call" from my editor at The Wilder Roses that my first book, "One Good Man" had been accepted, I was over the moon!
In "One Good Man", heroine Andie Benedetto is too shy and insecure to reach out for the things (and the man) she really wants. She's afraid of wanting what she can never have. I could identify with Andie as for a long time I was afraid to try to reach my dream of being an author. I started many stories but couldn't seem to finish any. Writing is such a solitary activity, it's easy to look at your work and think "Ugh, what's the point? I'll never make it." But with the support of fellow writers  I at last finished a manuscript. And the support from everyone at The Wild Rose Press has been incredible and everything a beginning writer could wish for.

But hey, it's not all about me! It's a celebration! Woo hoo! Happy happy birthday Wild Rose Press and may there be many more.

Happy Birthday to The Wild Rose Press

It's The Wild Rose Press 6th Birthday.  I'm so happy for the company, Rhonda, RJ, Lisa, all the editors, cover artists and authors of this great company.

I've been with TWRP for almost 3 years now and I couldn't have picked a better company to work for.  I found a home for my sexy writing and enjoy working with everyone.

Here's an except from my current release: His for the Weekend

Cassandra Adams has a problem and its name is Marcus DeLuca. The man is quite determined to have her--on his terms. Cassie has had enough of domineering men in her life, yet she's drawn to strong, virile Marcus. Tempted to get that man out of her system once and for all, she agrees that she will be his for a weekend only--but then he must leave her alone forever.

Marcus will do anything to get sexy, non-committal Cassie into his arms, into his bed--failure is not an option. He wants nothing more than to keep Cassie in his life, but he senses a secret that keeps her from being able from committing--from submitting--to any man. Will Marcus's special brand of domination free her to be his for more than a weekend?

Enjoy the day everyone.

It's TWRP Birthday - So let's add a Little Fun to Your Sex Life

The process of making love in the same old way can get boring. Admit it, and your half way there to curing the problem. Finding time, opportunity, and energy might also add to the problem. After all, who can make a grand production every time you want to jump between the sheets?

The single most important way to alleviate the problem is communication. Man or woman, sometime the people that we love don’t see the things the same way we do. If you can talk about what you want or what you’d like to try, then you can get feedback and develop a plan to make it better for both of you.

“Our sex life is boring”
“I agree.”
“How can we change it?”
“Don’t know.”
Don’t let this be the end of conversation.

Now in every article about the subject, most experts say to try different positions. Okay, it changes things up but it doesn’t necessarily add some fun, not unless you are a contortionist. Change for change sake might help a little while but it won’t increase the fun factor.

“So what will?”
“A change in attitude.”
“Oh, no, the awful statement about changing my attitude. Look, I’m tired, busy with my kids and my job. I don’t have time to play at sex. I want to get in, get out and go to sleep.”

“Fair enough, and I can relate, but I never said this would be easy. Having fun is hard work, just look at every sport out there.”

Let’s first look at a way to find ideas that will increase the fun factor.
  1. Read erotica – find a scene in a book that you think might be fun to try, have your lover read it. Then come up with a way to do it.
  2. Watch love scenes or romantic comedies, what happening in those scenes that you wish you could try. Develop it in your relationship. (A love scene in the park – try your back yard or deck.) New places can always add a thrill to the mix.
  3. Talk about it – the more you think or talk about sex the more you begin to see the potential of enjoying yourself.
  4. Be adventurous – buy sexy underwear, go commando, visit an adult toy shop, do things that open your mind to new ideas. No one says you have to try them but at least let your mind toy with the idea.

Hopefully, one of these suggestions will provide you with a way to increase the element of fun in your sex life. Then you can discover the joy of playing with your partner both in and out of bed.

Happy Birthday to the Wild Rose Press!

I'd like to say how happy I am that The Wild Rose Press is having another birthday. It's always great to have a publishing house where there is such a team effort. From my amazing editor who lights a fire under my posterior (a figurative one) to the marketing team and to the amazing cover artists, The Wild Rose Press has made me a better writer and wrapped it up in a pretty package.

Without the team here at The Wilder Roses, I wouldn't have such a sexy, amazing hero, Drew Favreau, who definitely behaves badly in my latest release. Here's to Trish Owens for pushing me and to Angela Anderson for creating a lovely cover. This author is definitely appreciative.

Blurb -

Suzi Hotwired for each other... When Ross Dixon is kidnapped from his office, along with the sexy lawyer who'd been busting his balls over a deal that should have been a walk in the park, he wakes to find a devotion chip surgically implanted in his brain. If that isn't bad enough, the chip, designed to trigger emotional reactions between him and the woman lying next to him, is working overtime on his libido.

Mistaken for Ross's flavor of the month, Kayla Michaels, a 22nd century lawyer, doesn't have a problem spending time in Ross's bed--or over his desk--but she wants no part in the romantic feelings the chip is provoking. She's been down that road before and ended up burned.

Kayla and Ross struggle to find answers while coming to terms with the constant lust sizzling between them, but along the way each wonders if the emotions are real or just a side effect of being hotwired.
