Get in the holiday mood.

Jingle All the Way

Blurb:

Single mother Jenica Anderson keeps small town boys at bay and happy without effort but has no clue how to handle a blue-eyed stranger with a wolfish stare and sensual demands that break all her rules. She only knows that for at least one night, she’ll beg him for exactly what she wants for Christmas.

When a snow storm diverts his plane, Burk Teal lands in Keaton, ND and in the arms of a gorgeous redhead who offers him a glimpse of what home and hearth are all about. As she writhes beneath his hands, he finds precisely what he has been looking for in Santa’s frozen backyard.

Sparks fly immediately between these two, but can physical attraction survive harsh reality or will memories of hot sex and the sound of jingle bells fade to nothing more than a decadent episode that happened one Christmas?

Excerpt:

He followed her into the kitchen. His broad shoulders and impressive height dominated the space. Refined cologne teased her nose, spicy and exotic. Did he sense that she wanted to do more than feed him? If she kissed him would he taste as good as he looked and smelled? He reached around her to set the empty mugs beside the sink and her bones melted a little. What would he do if she leaned against him and let his strength take her weight?

He shifted closer and sexy heat warmed the space around her. “I just realized I don’t know your name either. Jenny doesn’t seem to fit.”

She closed her eyes and absorbed his manliness. It had been too long since a man sparked her interest, but Burk’s presence radiated sensual heat and pure electricity. Her hands trembled as she fought the urge to turn into his arms. She set the dirty dishes in the sink and grabbed the faucet sprayer to rinse them hoping the mundane chore would distract from his inherent appeal. “My full name is Jenica.”

Strong arms circled her waist. He tugged her back flush to his chest and her legs weakened further. “Are you as hungry as I am, Jenica?”

That depends on what you’re hungry for. Liquid heat pooled between her legs at his touch. She had to be out of her mind. “I thought we were going to wash up first.”

He groaned and pressed closer. “I wasn’t talking about food.”

Perfect Moments

The past two weeks have been full of rare and perfect moments. I resigned from a job I have grown to dislike though I promised to stick it out until Christmas. I was asked to help with a project that I think will not only be fun but also a challenge. I received a job offer from someone I respect a great deal. My TWRP editor likes my WIP. AND – I can’t emphasize this enough – Surrender at Sea received five cherries from Xeranthemum at The Long and Short of It – Whipped Cream Erotic Reviews.

The great rating earned Surrender at Sea a spot in the book of the week contest. To vote, click here or on the link below on Saturday, Nov 20 or Sunday, Nov 21. Read the review and if Surrender sounds like something you would enjoy, please vote for it. I would appreciate it more than I can express. It would put the whipped cream and cherry on top of the past couple of weeks and make this month even more special as we head into the holidays.

I wish everyone a lovely Thanksgiving and if you are going shopping - my you find the perfect Black Friday bargain.

Hot Spanish Nights Released Today

I'm having a release day party at The Pink Fuzzy Slippers with fun prizes, including a download. Since Damian, the hero, is a rejoneador, I have included a short blog on bullfighting.
http://pinkfuzzyslipperwriters.blogspot.com/

Toni Sweeney, another The Wild Rose Press author, is interviewing Damian at: http://www.tonivsweeney.com/Blog/Entries/2010/10/27_A_Hot_Spanish_Bullfighter_makes_for_Hot_Spanish_Nights.html
There will be a drawing from comments for a HSN coffee mug with the sexy cover.

This is my first erotic release. Previously, I had written paranormal. I love this story because for years I bred, trained and showed Andalusian horses, and this story features these beautiful equine stars.

BLURB:  Southern vixen Erica DeLongpre journeys to Spain to find the horse of her dreams, never expecting to find a man capable of stirring her sexual awareness. Damián Xérès, a renowned bullfighter is deliciously skilled on a horse—and in bed. But a woman from Damian's past rattles Erica's confidence and threatens the very essence of her trip. With Lucia waiting for the slightest chink in her armor, Erica can't help wonder what lies ahead in those Hot Spanish Nights.

Sexy Halloween Story

by Becca Simone

If you're looking for a short, sexy Halloween read, try Midnight Treat. This story was an All Romance ebooks bestseller. Here's a blurb:

It's mistaken identity gone erotically awry during a Halloween costume party.

Josh Panetti breaks into an apartment Halloween night, thinking he’s fulfilling the sexual fantasy of a woman he just met at a costume party. Instead, he’s broken into Cassie Snow’s place. Cassie immediately realizes his mistake—she’d seen him at the party with her sexy upstairs neighbor. She should tell him he has the wrong apartment and the wrong girl. But she’s always the wrong girl. Would it be so terrible to be the right girl for just one night?

Excerpt:

Something woke her. Cassie’s eyelids popped open behind her mask. Someone was on the fire escape. Her belly clenched as she turned her head slowly in that direction. The dark figure of a man stood framed in the window. Her stomach churned and her entire body tensed. She opened her mouth to scream, but then she recognized him. Zorro. From the party. Obviously, he was on his way upstairs. Last Halloween, she’d caught a man in a gorilla suit scaling the metal ladder. The other Marie must have a thing for the fire escape.

Zorro hooked his hands under the frame and tugged upward. She gasped. He was coming inside! He swung his leg quietly over the windowsill, his foot touching carpet.

“You told me you were on the fifth floor,” he said as he swung his other leg inside and unfolded to his full height. His voice was deep and raspy. His white teeth flashed in the dim light as he grinned. Oh. My. God. Zorro was in her apartment.

“I, ah—” He must have seen her through the window and thought she was the other Marie. Again. Her insides fluttered with possibilities.

Tell him! He stalked toward the bed like a wild animal hunting its prey. He eased the sword from its sheath and leaned over her, holding it above her face. She, Cassie Snow, was smack dab in the middle of another couple’s naughty fantasy. Her eyes widened and need pulsed between her legs. Tell him he’s in the wrong apartment!

“You said you like to be scared,” he growled, right before he clamped a hand over her mouth and pressed the back of her head into the pillow.

He held the long silver blade in front of her eyes. “Make a sound and you’re dead. Understand?” She nodded and immediately stilled. She knew she should tell him he had the wrong girl. But she was always the wrong girl. Was it so horrible that she wanted to be the right girl for a change? Was it so wrong that she wished, just for one night, to be someone else? Someone who acted out naughty role-playing?
Becca Simone is an erotic romance writer. You know what that means, right? She has lots of hot sex with all sorts of hot men, at all times of the day and night, in all sorts of exotic places, and in all sorts of wild ways. And then she writes about it in her stories.

Did you happen to notice her initials? B.S. Yeah. You figured it out. You can learn more about Becca and her writing on her website. Midnight Treat is available here.

Release Day for Bound to Surrender!

My second erotic short, Bound to Surrender is released today!

The inspiration was a late night IM conversation about what sex means to men vs. women. This sexy story of a flirtation that leads to bondage, dominance, submission and, ultimately, love my answer to the questions raised in that conversation.

Can d/s and real love coexist? My hero, Bryce and his heroine, Christina think so....

Excerpt:

Because her son Michael is spending the summer with his father, Christina finds herself alone on her birthday and decides to cheer herself up with an ice cream cone. Who should stroll in behind her but the hot coach she's been lusting after all year long...

“I hear the vanilla here is very good, but if I were you, I’d be a bit more adventurous.”

With a bolt of awareness, Christina recognized Bryce Walker’s throaty baritone. His voice sent chills up her legs. When she glanced sideways, the muscles behind her knees weakened further.

Eyes like his should be illegal.

Her reaction to him was the exact reason that she’d avoided the man for months. She could not control her body’s response to him, no matter how hard she tried. Damn hormones. Every time she got within ten feet of him, a shiver started somewhere behind her lower ribs and slithered down, pulsing in her sex and forcing her to seek release—either by self-distraction or, more frequently, in the privacy of her bedroom with the help of her vibrator.

Bryce was not a man to be trifled with, however, and she’d had her fill of overbearing males, thank-you-very-much.

His rakish smile stopped just beneath his sunglasses. I’d be more adventurous. Christina had no doubt of the double-entendre of his suggestion, but she couldn’t act offended. Her body drummed the truth. She wanted nothing more than to pick up what he was putting down.

“Hello, Mr. Walker,” she said, in her best librarian-voice. “Thanks for the advice, but I wasn’t considering the vanilla.” She lifted an eyebrow. Their eyes locked and the pulse in Christina’s sex began.

The bells clanged as another customer entered the shop. She turned back to the server.

“I’ll go with the maple walnut,” she said, correcting her posture and straightening her skirt.

“Cup or cone?” the teenage clerk droned.

Bryce stood way too close. His heat radiated through her blouse, contrasting with the cool sensation of the counter against her belly. Christina suppressed the urge to giggle.

“Cone, please,” she replied in clipped tones, but on impulse she added, “and you know what else I want? I want Jimmies.”

The clerk nodded, not bothering to glance up before preparing her order.

“Feeling reckless?” Bryce asked, cocking his deliciously masculine head to one side.

She shook her head no. “Indulgent, more like. It’s my birthday.” Why did I tell him that?

“In that case,” Bryce turned and spoke to the clerk, “I’ll pay for the lady, and add a single cone of vanilla to the order.”

The clerk nodded, handing Christina her cone. She thought of refusing Bryce’s offer, but decided against it. To tell the truth, his gesture made her feel ridiculously pleased, even giddy. She couldn’t remember the last time someone had bought her ice cream.

“Hey, I thought you said to try other flavors…” she laughed. “I wouldn’t have pegged you as a vanilla man.”

“Oh, I’ve tried other flavors,” he replied. “Once I know what I like, though, I stick with it.”

Christina swallowed. “Mr. Walker, you really don’t have to pay for me,” she forced herself to say.

“But I want to,” Bryce purred, taking his own cone and handing the clerk cash. “Besides, it’s your birthday.”

Bryce held out his arm toward one of the shop’s small tables. He placed a warm hand on the small of her back and guided her toward the table. Then, he slid in across from her and leaned forward.

“Happy birthday, Ms. Welch,” he said, his voice low. “Do you have a wish for me to grant?”

Bryce’s eyes held her, testing her and challenging her to respond. She swallowed a lick of ice cream. The cold sensation slid into her belly as she tried to remember the reasons why she’d held this man at bay. Bryce was strong, virile, and clearly interested. Why had it seemed so necessary to keep him at arm’s length?

Work. Michael. Oh yes, and the uncontrollable flame he stoked in her pussy.

Just as she was about to slow it down, her mind rebelled. Too much denial, it screamed, too much restraint. What harm could a little flirtation cause? She practically salivated with the need to take what he offered.

“A wish, Ms. Welch?” Bryce prompted.

“Mr. Walker,” she asked as her throat dried, “are you flirting with me?”

Lessons for Teacher, Out Today!

I'm so excited that my second book is out today. I had so much fun writing it, helping my shy heroine overcome her fears to live out her fantasies with one of her students.

I liked that this is their second chance at college--hers because she worked to put her husband through before he left her, and his because he joined the military and went to war. It put them on even ground, and set them apart from the other students. I found myself rooting for them even as I wrote their story. Here's an excerpt. Hope you enjoy!

Excerpt:

Everything was as perfect as he could make it. He’d cleaned his truck, set up the hotel room, complete with wine and candles, and the reservations were set. He hadn’t decided when he’d tell her about the internship, though. He didn’t want to ruin anything.

She waited for him on the front porch, despite the chill in the air. She wore a woolen wrap around her shoulders, but he could see a full red skirt peeking out beneath the wrap, shorter than she usually wore. As always, he wondered if she wore panties beneath. She’d taken to surprising him on

occasion by not wearing any.

Tonight was not about sex, though it would be a part of the evening. Tonight was about this woman who had captivated him these past months.

“You look great,” he said, stroking a finger down her throat, bared by her upswept hair. “You have your bag?”

She nodded to it, resting against the rail of the porch, and he scooped it up, taking her arm with his other hand. He didn’t want to encounter her mother, who he’d met twice before. He could see nothing of Jamie in that bitter woman.

“You look good, too. I never thought I’d see you in a tie.”

“I bought it just for tonight.”

She closed her hand around it as he opened the truck door for her. “Did you pay a lot of money for it?”

He grinned at the gleam in her eyes. “Not a lot.”

“Oh, goody.” She swung her legs in, offering him a peek of red silk beneath her skirt.

Oh, hell. They hadn’t even gotten to dinner yet, and he was already hard.

He walked around the front of the truck, hoping the chilled air would give him some relief. But when he got in the truck, Jamie had let her wrap fall open to reveal the rest of her dress. Thin straps held it up, and her breasts swelled, full and white, from the scooped neck.

Brady dropped his keys on the floor of the truck. “Christ, Jamie.”

“You like it?” She tucked the wrap against her sides so he could get the full effect. “My mother said I looked like I needed a street corner.”

“I’m wondering if we should skip dinner. Not a man in the restaurant will be able to eat, and you might get stabbed with a dessert fork.”

She laughed. “Whatever you want to do.”

He scooped the keys off the floor. “I’m taking you to dinner.” And then straight to bed.

She shifted in her seat as they pulled out of her neighborhood. “Want me to take care of that for you?”

He glanced over to see her attention on the tented front of his pants. The desire to feel her hand stroking him, or better, her mouth, was strong, but they’d done that once before, and he’d nearly driven into a guardrail.

“I kind of like the anticipation.” It wasn’t a lie.

She laughed and sat back. “You’re not going to be the only one stabbed with a fork.”

They arrived at the restaurant with Brady mostly in control. They were escorted to their table, where their bottle of wine already waited.

“Wow, you went all out,” she said with a smile as she folded her wrap over the back of her chair. “Just because school’s out?”

He couldn’t sit across from her all evening and let her believe that. He’d have to tell her sooner or later. He waited until the waiter had opened and served their wine, and Jamie had taken a sip, before he said, “I got an internship in Harlingen.”

He’d heard the saying, “a light went out in her eyes,” but he’d never seen it actually happen. Her gaze lowered, her lips turned down. Damn it, he’d ruined the evening, or at least the joy she’d felt in it.

She studied her wine for a moment and swallowed, then looked up at him with a bright smile. It wasn’t fake, but didn’t hold the delight she’d shown earlier. “I knew you’d find something. Are you happy with it?”

“I am. I’m thinking it’s pretty much as close as I’ll get to war correspondence this soon.”

Her smile froze. “I hadn’t thought about that. All the drug wars down there—you’ll be careful?”

He smiled and covered her hand with his. “Jamie, I was in Iraq.”

“It doesn’t make you immune.” She opened her menu and scanned it, but he saw her tears glimmer in the candlelight.

“I didn’t mean to ruin your evening,” he said quietly.

“No, of course you didn’t.” She looked up at him, and yes, tears shone. “We should be celebrating. This is a good thing. I’m just—going to miss you.”

“There’s a UT branch in Brownsville, half an hour away.” Whoa. Where had that come from? He couldn’t ask her to make a change like that for him. Hadn’t her ex done the same thing?

His words sent a jolt through Jamie. She went perfectly still and stared. Was he saying what she thought he was saying? And regretting it, if the deer-in-the-headlights look on his face was any indication. “I couldn’t do that.”

Well, she could. She just—didn’t make decisions like that. She certainly wasn’t going to change her career path to follow a man. She’d learned her lesson with David. No man was worth that.

Not even Brady.

Riding Double New Release

Hello everyone! Well, this is my first blog post here and I'm excited. I'm excited for more than one reason too. On May 7, 2010 my first ever publication, Riding Double, hit the digital world. I did a few blog spots on it, tweeted the heck out of it, and other such promo type things but I never guessed I'd get a good review. I mean I thought sure, I'd get a few friends to say nice things about Riding Double and Ms. KyAnn Waters gave me a terrific review for the book cover, but honestly I figured thats as far as it'd go. Well thankfully I was wrong! I've received two wonderful reviews and one even asked for more. I am still worried about getting a bad review but I gotta say right now I'm on cloud nine, they like me really they do.

Here's a little about Riding Double and the cover(Diana Carlile and the cover artist did a fantastic job if I say so myself!!):

Stressed to the max by her rodeo production company, Billie turns to young bareback rider Chet Haskins for a night of fun. She expects to get her mind off her business and her bull rider ex-fiancé, Bo Bennett. What she gets is several nights of sinful pleasure with both Chet and Bo. Finding herself quite literally between two hot cowboys, will Billie decide to move forward with Chet or start over with Bo?

Blurb of Riding Double:

My heart raced as I realized Bo was here. Here, and very nearby, watching Chet and me. I looked to my left. Next to the bucking chutes, Bo stood staring at us. I inclined my head in a hello, and he sauntered over. He stopped in front of me and grabbed my hand, pulling me to his side.

“I’ve missed you more, no matter what kind of smooth talk this dipshit has told you.” He gave a dizzying smile, which I returned. “But this weekend we’ve got to get something straight. If we’re to be together,” he waved his hand back and forth between us, “then you need to understand I expect some control over this.”

My eyes almost bugged out of my head. He did not just say he needed control. I’d kill him. I opened my mouth to argue, but before I had a chance, his lips closed over mine. I had a moment to panic. Everyone who’d just seen me kiss Chet would know I was also involved with Bo. I jerked away, and he let me go.

Bo’s jaw firmed, and his eyes bored into mine. “Make no mistake about it. If I’m going to share you, you’re gonna let me keep some control. Otherwise, I don’t know if I can go on with this.”

For an instant I thought about telling him to fuck off, but I couldn’t. His kiss had demolished my emotional barriers. I wanted him. I needed him and couldn’t deny it any longer.

“Chet may have missed you some, but I’m the one who thought about you every day.” Bo’s voice turned low and deep, filled with desire. His eyes blazed with lust. “Remembered your touch, the feel of your skin sliding against mine, and how sweet you taste.”
Chet snorted. “He’s been talking nonstop about you for two weeks.” He laughed. “I told him there was no way in hell I was bowing out. The two of you would have too much fun without me.” He turned and ambled away.

Bo stood, looking at the ground. I gazed at him for a second to let the giddiness of knowing how much that kiss had affected him rush through me. I might regret it later, but this weekend I was determined to have a good time, and if that meant spending time with him, pretending things were like they had been, fine.

“I gotta get to that meeting.” I turned to go but stopped. With a glance over my shoulder, I melted a little. He was staring at my ass. “I wanna be with you tonight, but nothing has changed. When this weekend is over, things will go back to the way they were before.”

My heart sank, but he had to know. I still wasn’t ready to forgive and forget. Maybe I never would be.

He smiled and shook his head. “You’re wrong. After this weekend, things will never be the same.”

Thanks again for letting me stop by and share. Hope you all enjoyed Riding Double available at The Wild Rose Press

So to my author friends out there what makes you the most nervous about the writing/editing process? And to readers tell me how much you rely on reviews before buying a book?

Got Promotion?

My upcoming release, "Shut Up & Kiss Me" comes out in two weeks, and I've been giving a lot of thought about how to promote it. I combined those thoughts with Thursday Thirteen on my blog today and listed thirteen ways I'm planning on promoting it.

Looking for some ideas of your own? Maybe you have even MORE ideas on promotion that I didn't think of? I'd love for you to swing by and give me your two cents.

Hope to see you there!

And, hopefully to whet your appetite, here's the blurb for "Shut Up & Kiss Me":
Kasey Davenport and Cole Roberts—adversaries since junior high when Cole did nothing but pull her hair, snap her bra strap, and tease her mercilessly—find themselves unexpectedly thrown together when Kasey is in town on a layover. As always, sparks fly between them, but this time the attraction simmering close to the surface explodes into a passion neither of them expected or wanted.

After years of mutual avoidance and denying their attraction, can Kasey and Cole stop arguing long enough to discover if what they feel will last more than just one night?

Blurb:
Kristina Taylor's biological clock just went off. She has endometriosis. Now “who's your baby's daddy” just took on a completely new meaning. A brilliant plan for conception includes her hot best friend Johnny

Knock her up? Krissy has to be crazy. Or is she? Johnny has loved her since high school. Her plan might not include life after baby. His does. But how is he going to show her how good they can be together with all her rules--no kissing, no touching, no caressing. He can make love to her, but she's determined not to enjoy it. To hell with that and to hell with her rules. He's determined to show her friendship is the best foundation for a relationship.

But there are always complications. ..

With Johnny, Krissy is afraid to look to the future. Right now, she can't get enough of the present, and she dreads the thought of losing what she's had with him in the past. Huston. Taking him to bed won't be a hardship--if she can only get him to play by her rules. After all, she wants to maintain their friendship. Not easy if he ends up being the best sex of her life.

Excerpt:

"Our baby," she whispered with awe and wonder discernable in her voice. "Is this really happening?"

Her eyes filled with tears. Johnny set the frying pan on the stove and pulled her out of the kitchen chair and into his arms. "Scary when it finally becomes real, isn't it?" He stroked her back. He felt her head nod against his chest. Then she went rigid and pushed against him. "What?"

"We have bigger problems." She took two retreating steps. "The when, where and how."

"Pardon me?"

"I don't want some magical date etched into my mind reminding me of the day we conceived our baby. Where are we actually going to have sex? Not my bed. I'm not going to remember us every time I crawl beneath the covers. Not your bed either. I don't want you thinking about me when you go to sleep."

Good thing she wasn't in his head. He'd already taken her to his bed hundreds of times. In his dreams. "The where won't matter. You and I both know we'll never forget."

"As for the when, I'm ready when you are." Krissy put her hands on her hips. "Actually, I should rephrase that. I'll be ready after you make breakfast and we eat. If we can decide where, then we can do it tonight. We just need to think of sex as the first step in a series of steps to reach the desired conclusion of having a baby."

As if he could just forget he'd be making love while Krissy only thought of their being together as a means to an end. "At least we don't need to discuss the how."

"Actually, I think we do."

Johnny nearly crushed the egg he was holding in his hand instead of cracking it into the frying pan. He looked over his shoulder and cocked an eyebrow. Krissy sat at the table again with a serious look on her face, not a trace of humor in the straight line of her mouth. "I'm capable."

She rolled her eyes. "We both know what happens in relationships when one falls hard and not the other. That can't happen to us. So we need rules about the how." She held up one finger. "No kissing. That includes oral. I'm not sucking your dick."

"What if I need help getting an erection? You won't be my fluff girl?"

She pursed her lips. "I'll get you a Viagra."

Her mouth turned up on the left and he weakened. "Okay, let me hear the rest of your rules."

"No caressing. I know you're an ass man. Mine is off limits. No touching outside of what is absolutely necessary. No grabbing hair."

"Are your tits off limits, too?"

Her eyes narrowed. "Yes."

Laughter rolled from deep within his chest. Unbelievable. His dreams had come true and then morphed into his worst nightmare. He could make love to Krissy, but by god, he wasn't allowed to enjoy it.

"If you make me come, I'll clobber you the minute you get off of me. I don't want you to be good."

Did she read minds now? "I can't control whether it's good or not."

"Yes, you can! Just get on, come, and get off. Hopefully, we'll only have to fuck once."

"Do I get to enjoy myself at all or is that against the rules as well?" Johnny flipped the eggs in the pan, then snatched the bread off the top of the refrigerator. He needed to calm down. Krissy's unrealistic ideal situation was a long way from his.

"Of course." She stood and poured them coffee. "You have to enjoy sex in order to reach orgasm. How else am I going to get pregnant? Coming is ejaculation. I don't suppose you're a premature ejaculator. The faster the better."

Welcome to the 8th stop in the Bunny Hop Tour for Romance Writers Behaving Badly. To start at the beginning and find out how you can win some great books and prizes, go here.)

The perfect hero.

If I were to create the perfect hero, I’d model him after actor Gerard Butler. I’d need to call him something else, obviously, which is fine by me as I’ve never been a fan of the name “Gerard.” I like the last name though. His first name would be something with hard consonants like Colton or Jake or Mick. I’ll go with JAKE BUTLER.

Jake grew up in Scotland, and has a dual citizenship with the U.S., so he travels back and forth often. He was raised by a single mom with two older siblings. As the youngest child, Jake grew up getting what he wanted when he wanted it. That hasn’t changed. He still gets what he wants when he wants it. Including women.

Jake is a smart guy. In fact, in law school he was president of the school’s law society due to his intelligence, social skills and charm. He used his smarts and charm to work his way up the ladder in his law firm.

Jake’s not only smart, rich and successful, he’s also a nice guy. Once when hiking along the banks of a river, he heard the shouts of a woman nearby whose son was flailing in the water. Without a thought to his own safety, Jake dove in and saved the boy from certain drowning.

From the outside looking in, Jake seems to have it all. His life appears "egg"ceptional. But inside, something’s missing. He decides to take a leave of absence, sell his high-rise penthouse and travel the world for that elusive missing something.

What kind of woman could be the missing link in this hero’s life?

Reviews for Banished Scoundrel

1st Reviews:
Two thumbs up to Ms. Philmar for providing us with an intense, adventure-driven story that will make your heart beat faster, give you goose bumps from the sexual tension emanating between Jack and Kitty, and make you swoon from the sensual vibes of a scoundrel. I would definitely recommend Banish Scoundrel, the second book in the series, to my friends and can’t wait for the Danella and Omar’s story.

2nd Review:
Anita Philmar has created a fantasy world that is rich with detail and imagination. The characters are fantastic and will have you cheering, crying and hoping for a happy ending as you read. This story is a great addition to any fantasy/paranormal lovers library.

Erotic Love in the Springtime blog tour for Romance Writers Behaving Badly

Welcome blog hoppers! This is the kickoff tour for Romance Writers Behaving Badly. You can win BIG if you start at the beginning and comment on every blog. You can win up to 5 books!

You should have just come from Lissa Matthews' blog. The starting blog is Romancing Writers Behaving Badly.

by Becca Simone, TWRP author

The coming of spring always brings to mind spring cleaning. But housework is SO not erotic (unless you’re my great aunt, whose DH insisted she clean house naked, but that’s a whole other post).

Spring is when many of us look ahead to the summer and realize we’d better get our diet and exercise program in gear. I think it’s also a great time to renew our sexual selves, too.

What changes can you make to your body and mind to feel more sexy and fresh? Here are some ideas.

Let’s start with the obvious.

If you’re like some of my girlfriends, you don’t shave your legs much in the winter (I have to, because I wear fitness shorts and capris in my day job). Unless your honey likes your legs as hairy as his, I’d suggest buying a good razor and using it.

How’s your bikini line? A razor works well here, too. My DH and I are fine with me just trimming the edge of the forest a bit, but I know some couples who like the Brazilian wax, otherwise known as The Sphynx, which involves the complete removal of all hair down there. Now, I have two problems with this. 1) It’s named after a smooth-skinned, hairless cat. Ick. 2) I know the position I’d have to be in to get this done, and the only face I want upclose and personal with my naked ass cheeks and naughty bits is Mr. Simone’s. But if you and your man think bald is beautiful, schedule an appointment now.

Since we’re talking hair, how about getting a new haircut? There’s nothing like a hot new hairstyle to make you feel sexy and desirable. And when you feel sexy and desirable, your honey benefits.

Have you been doing your kegels? Strengthening the muscles that form the pelvic floor will lead to more gratifying sex for both you and your partner. Don’t know how? The easiest way to locate these muscles is while you’re peeing. Squeeze the muscles that stop the flow of pee. You just did a kegel. Squeeze and release whenever you think about it, because you can do them anytime, anywhere. No one will know. I do kegels whenever I’m at a stoplight/sign or standing in line. My favorite time to do them, though, is when I’m talking to really uptight people who’d be mortified to know I write erotica. Makes me smile inside because they have no idea that I’m working my sex muscles during our conversation. Aim for 100 a day. Your sex partner will thank you.

Hips a little tight? Looser hips inspire lots of new and exciting sexual positions.

Hip opener #1: The cobbler pose from yoga. Sit on the floor with the soles of your feet together and near your groin. Let your knees fall open toward th
e floor. Relax and breathe into the stretch for at least 30 seconds.

Hip opener #2: From cobbler pose, push your feet forward along the floor until you can barely reach them with your fingertips. Flex your feet, grab your toes and pull yourself forward toward your feet. You’ll feel this in your bum and hips.

Inner thighs a bit weak? Strong thighs are a huge turn-on to men. And you’ll love the power rush.

Inner thigh exercise #1: Lie on your back on the floor or bed with your legs in the air. Put a big exercise ball or fluffy pillow between your ankles. Squeeze and release 20x. Pretend you’re trying to pop the ball or pillow. Repeat 3x.

Inner thigh exercise #2: Wide-legged squats. Stand with feet more than hip distance apart, toes turned out (so knees track over them as you squat). Keeping your back straight, lower your hips slowly toward the floor. Squeeze the bum hard as you straighten your legs. Repeat 20x.

When was the last time you bought new undies? Or a new bra? Or some sexy lingerie? Take your honey lingerie shopping with you. Have him pick out his fantasy outfit for you, then you also pick out something that makes you feel and look desirable.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg. I’m sure you have many more ideas. I’d love to hear them (so would Mr. Simone). What can you do this week to refresh your sexual self?

Buy now

Blurb:

How does a woman who usually follows the straight and narrow end up handcuffed to a chair by her ex-husband’s younger brother, a wickedly delicious man who just happens to be a cop? And the star of her most forbidden fantasies. Kara Reynolds has spent the past thirty-eight years being a good girl, but there’s something about Austin that makes her want to be really bad. Now, she’s caught in a situation that could either humiliate her...or set her free.

5 Diamond review from Got Erotic Romance:

"If you enjoy second chance at love stories, you will enjoy this one. It is short, packed with emotion, and you can’t help finding yourself pulling for the younger man intent on convincing the woman he loves to give him a chance. If you’re a woman beyond the “perfect body” stage in life, you’re going to identify with the heroine and understand her doubts. This is a quick read and a feel-good story where hope for that magical happily-ever-after shines bright." Starla Kaye, reviewer

4.5 Stars from Book Wenches

"This is utterly and undeniably an entertaining read. One of the things I find that makes a short story enjoyable is an author that is able to give plenty of background to make the story come full circle, and Ms. Slater does this with finesse. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I thoroughly enjoyed the thought of the younger guy; especially one as hot as Austin. The characters seem realistic, and I liked how they show so much emotion." Teagan, reviewer

Met a Scoundrel

My hero Jack Avery is so excited by the release of his book he's taken over my blogspot.

anitaphilmar.blogspot.com

Stop by and meet him or read his story

Banished Scoundrel

Known scoundrel Jack Avery must earn the queen's forgiveness by rescuing her missing daughter from the human world. His sources reveal the Princess Noelani is being held by a powerful man who likes a good game of chance. So with twenty borrowed pieces of gold Jack enters the high-stakes game. Only the lady he encounters is no princess. This pretty Kitty makes him want to hear her purr.

Under a memory spell, Kitty recalls nothing before the governor bought her from her parents and offered her protection from those he claims would kill her kind. So what if, in order to control her, he forces Kitty to morph then deprives her of sexual release after transformation. But the crafty card player she is assigned to “entertain” reveals himself as a kindred spirit—a shape shifter—and unravels the lie she’s been forced to live.

Together Jack and Kitty risk it all, for the stakes are high and the prize is worth it...freedom, forgiveness, love.

Excerpt:

The sweet fragrance of honey-suckle filtered through his senses. Did she crush the delicate petals against her skin or sprinkle the pollen in her hair? Moreover, where could she find the springtime flowers at this time of year?

“Have you dropped off your stipend for the game tomorrow?” She laid her finely, manicured hand on his arm. The dainty touch sent sparks of awareness through him, and his cock swelled. “The governor likes to put all the money in his strongbox for safekeeping before the party begins.”

Jack reined in his desire and reminded himself of his primary objective—to transport the lady back to Ardenia.

However, he liked Sloan’s clever rule. If a man didn’t contribute the required gold coins to the game, the governor shouldn’t waste resources entertaining him. “No, I can’t say that I have. I arrived just a few moments ago.”

“Then let me show you to the study, and I’ll fetch you a drink.” She touched his arm again and stepped into the foyer.

He bowed his head slightly and played the unfamiliar part of a refined gentleman. “And you are?”

She fluttered her hand over her face and brushed a wisp of light brown hair from her brow. “The governor calls me Kitty. It’d probably be best if you did, too.”

“What an alluring name? It makes me think of a cat with its lips covered by a luscious coat of cream.” Jack stared at Kitty’s mouth, and his tongue tingled at the idea of tasting her rich, flavorful lust.

She giggled and wove her hand through the crook in his arm. The soft swell of her breast bumped against his arm. “Oh, you’re naughty, but I love the alluring image.”

“Then, I hope you’ll let me have a taste later.” He didn’t crowd her but allowed her to step back. She led him across the entranceway to a door on the other side.

Remember she’s a princess.

Praise for Kilt Worthy from Bitten by Books

Jane has been single for far too long. Her last boyfriend did a number on her self esteem by calling her Plain Jane.

Logan MacLaren a fine looking Scotsman in a kilt. With his chocolate brown eyes and beautiful body, he could have any woman he wants with just a crook of his finger.Jane woke up, wanting to take some pictures. She threw on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. She finds a hot looking Scotsman in her lens and starts to take pictures of him until he notices and gives her a heart stopping smile. He asks her to come with him, and she can’t help but say yes to him. Like a pig to slaughter, she follows him. Logan has been looking for the one for centuries until today. He knows that he has found her in Jane - he just needs to make her believe him. She has been hurt badly, and he needs to make her see herself as a beauty like he does.

Catherine Bybee’s charming book Kilt Worthy was wonderful. It is in first person, which I admit is not my favorite - I like to know what everyone is thinking because I am nosy. Jane has some major self esteem issues, and I think I would do if I had dated her ex. Logan is perfect looking, but does he have substance? Oh, yes he does. Logan makes up his mind to make Jane feel special and know passion as a woman should. He also has a fun time listening to her because she always seems to say the wrong thing. Sounds familiar.

Heat Up Your Weekend

IN PLAIN SIGHT is now available at The Wilder Rose Press.

Can you think of a better way to heat up your weekend.

Excerpt:

“You’re too dangerous.” The words slipped out before she was even aware of voicing them.

His eyes widened, and another of those sexy devilish grins spread across his lips. “I’m not dangerous. I’m a teddy bear.”

Victoria gave a snort of laughter. He took another step into the room and suddenly her bedroom felt too small. Now the man invading her territory. “Grizzly bear is more like it,” she muttered.

“A man,” he said, taking two more steps. “A man who wants to get to know you better.”

“If we get to know each other any better, we’ll be arrested.” Her gaze locked with his. He stood less than a foot length from her.

“I got things a little backwards last night.”

“Backwards?” That was an odd word to use. She tilted her head to one side and stared at him.

“Yep, backwards.” His arm rose, and he caressed her cheek. “Making love to you in the elevator was impulsive.”

She opened her mouth.

“But,” he continued before she could get a word out. “I don’t regret one second of it.”

Great Review for Destined to Mate

Destined to Mate by C.A. Salo

Posted under Adult Content, Book Reviews, Shapeshifters, e-books by Amy on Wednesday 30 December 2009 at 7:56 pm
*****

Morgan is an Alpha. He saves Alexis when a huntress swings her sword to kill her. Surrounded by Lycans, her inner beast forces her to change. Morgan is puzzled. He has no idea who and what she is. He met various species – fae, vamps, etc - before but he has never met one like her. What puzzles him the most is the attraction between them. He never wanted a mate before, but now the idea seems very alluring. But can he handle her?

It started off very interestingly. With every flip of a page, I went deeper and deeper. The story sucked me into it, and I just can’t stop myself wanting to know what might happen next. I enjoy every second reading it and was frustrated when it ended. Argh!! I so want a sequel for this. It just started to get really good in the end. C.A. Salo continues to outdo herself in this novella. Great read!
