Catching The Cajun
by Ursula Whistler

Paranormal blogger Felicia Li wants to show she’s more than an Internet flash in the pan. Her Paranormal Pest website is taking off as she debunks ghosts and monsters across the country. Her next gig involves busting a New Orleans tour group for a fake Loup Garou haunting the swamps. But the formidable tour owner kicks her off the boat, and she’s not above cozying up to the sexy Cajun to catch the fake monster.

Jacques Mercier, owner of Cajun Boy Tours, isn’t about to let petite Felicia bring down his family business. He’s overcome oil spills and hurricanes, but something about the feisty Internet phenom tells him she’s going to be trouble for his business—and his heart.

By: Ursula Whistler

A grueling unsolved murder case is the tipping point for detective Jameson Kelly. He's ready to hang up his holster for early retirement when Zara Robinson walks in to his precinct, the victim of a car break-in. She's everything Jameson likes in a woman—tall, blonde, beautiful and athletic. More than enough woman to take him down and make him beg for more. One more case can't hurt to help pass the time, especially one he knows he can solve.
Zara is a woman who knows what she needs, and top of her list is closure on this spree of car break-ins. And there's Jameson—he's big with an air of bad despite being a cop and all man. Man Of Few Words by Ursula Whistler

Man Of Few Words by Ursula Whistler

Marine Pilot John 'Duff' Duffy was always good at following orders, even when it meant having to leave the woman he loved. Her father, then his superior, dictated it was the best thing for Kirsten's future and Duff's career. Good soldiers followed orders, no matter what the heart felt. It had been for the best...back then. But when he sees her years later across a crowded bar, he has one burning desire--to have her back in his life and bed again.

With a new job and her father's estate to settle, Professor Kirsten Tanner wants a peaceful existence. The return of the handsome flight instructor who broke her heart and lit a fire to her desires challenges that. She's determined not to fall victim to his quiet charm again, but the need to show him she too can love him and leave him is much too tempting. He's been the object of her desire for close to a year, and while he might be worth more than one sexy evening, that's all her heart is willing to risk.

A Question for the Readers

So, life as an author...

Not glamorous for most of us. We write. We work other jobs. We deal with families and the ups/downs just like the rest of you. We simply have overactive imaginations that we cannot stop, nor would we want to stop, because it gives us something else to do! (I'm only speaking for myself, although I'd be willing to hear what other authors say about that imagination thing.)

But, besides writing, we're also supposed to blog. That's an entirely different animal in the writing world. Here's why:

I'm not quirky. Well, I am, but only during Halloween and Mardi Gras. Then, I'm full of quirk. My online writing? Not so much.

Which gets me to thinking...

What do you as readers want from authors besides the next story? Do you like blog posts about our pets? Do you want us to be as bad/naughty/sexually adventurous as our heroines and to write about that? What really do you like to read from authors?

I'm serious in asking. I'm the type of author that stares at my website/blog page that says "New Post" like that proverbial deer in the headlights. I even resorted to posting a photo of Captain America this week. I'm that desperate for blog material. Therefore, I'm reaching out to you. Tell me what you'd like to know about me, a character, or anything at all.

I'll do my best to fulfill your blog fantasy. (That so sounds dirty, but it's virtual, which makes it clean.)

Best,
Ursula
I'm not bad. I just write that way.

Happy Birthday to the Wild Rose Press!

I'd like to say how happy I am that The Wild Rose Press is having another birthday. It's always great to have a publishing house where there is such a team effort. From my amazing editor who lights a fire under my posterior (a figurative one) to the marketing team and to the amazing cover artists, The Wild Rose Press has made me a better writer and wrapped it up in a pretty package.

Without the team here at The Wilder Roses, I wouldn't have such a sexy, amazing hero, Drew Favreau, who definitely behaves badly in my latest release. Here's to Trish Owens for pushing me and to Angela Anderson for creating a lovely cover. This author is definitely appreciative.
